Social responsibility
Derco of Brasil is concerned with promoting and supporting initiatives aimed at the health and well-being of individuals, especially children and adolescents, participating in the TOP 500 – “Seal of Commitment to Fight Childhood Cancer” of the Boldrini Child Center, in Campinas.
Boldrini Child Center
The Boldrini Child Center, a Latin American reference, works in the care of children and adolescents with cancer or blood diseases. Currently, Boldrini treats about 7 thousand patients from several Brazilian cities and some from Latin American countries, the majority (80%) from the SUS (Health Unic System). It receives around 900 new cases every year. The cancer cure rate at Boldrini is 80%, an index comparable to that of the world’s leading hospitals.
